About Us

The Colorado River Trail is an 11-county region that travels through 600 river miles of beautiful Central Texas scenery. You'll find festivals, food, fun and fascinating places as you explore the Colorado River Trail. From the Hill Country's scenic vistas to the Gulf Coast's stretches of sand, every county along the trail has its own special flavor.

The 11 counties included in the region are San Saba, Lampasas, Llano, Burnet, Blanco, Travis, Bastrop, Fayette, Colorado, Wharton, and Matagorda counties.

Visitors to the Colorado River Trail enjoy many different activities along the lakes and river, or in the towns that dot the landscape along the trail. Visit the website for more detailed information.
