Texas courthouses are an art form in and of themselves. Their beauty cannot be contested. Solid. Just like Texas. And nothing defines a town square more than a courthouse. This one is the Fayette County courthouse, located in La Grange, Texas on a fine Spring day. The Texas Historical Commission is on a mission to restore as many Texas courthouses as possible to their original grandeur. It's worth a visit to a town square in any county seat in Texas to see these architectural gems. Photo courtesy of Bob Weston. Monday, March 16, 2009
