Wharton's Plaza Theater Lights Up the Night

The Plaza Theater in Wharton, Texas is a true gem. There are many of these theaters in towns across the country that are unused and wasting away. Not so here in Wharton! The Plaza, built in circa 1904, is a thriving spot for live entertainment in downtown Wharton. The season includes several live theatrical productions, a classic film series, concerts, and special events. There's even a small art gallery in the lobby that highlights art and photography from local and regional artists. Next time you're down that way, why don't you see what's playing? You'll be glad you did. For information on other things to see and do in Wharton, visit the Wharton Chamber of Commerce. Photo courtesy of Chris in Nac.
