Here are some of the upcoming holiday events:

Bastrop Is the "Heart of the Lost Pines"

In and around the Bastrop area, the pine trees spring up seemingly out of nowhere. This is why it is sometimes known as the Lost Pines region. Bastrop State Park, where this striking photo was taken, is a great place to experience nature among the loblolly pines. Whether you prefer hiking or biking, camping or canoeing, or just watching wildlife, Bastrop State Park is a great place to visit. If you go, see what else there is to do in the "Heart of the Lost Pines" at the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce. You'll be glad you did. Photo courtesy of Van Sutherland.
